A decision journal can help you distinguish a planned action from a reaction to boredom, a loss or fear of missing out. One outcome cannot tell you whether your process is sound.
An example to think through
After a losing trade, an urge to increase size can change the risk of the next decision even when the chart setup has not improved.
Try this on a historical chart.
Before a hypothetical trade, write one sentence about the setup and one about how you feel. Afterward, review whether the action matched the plan.
